Hello Friends

So I know you have missed hearing from me...I've been busy and lazy. We are still here. Parker is growing so much. He's a little over 4 months old. We go to the doctor next week for his 4 month appointment. I'll post his latest stats then. Until then...here are some random pictures...

Do you see that brown thing just below and to the right of the right tree? This is in the lot next to mom's house. The brown thing happens to be a little rabbit that lives in their lot or bushes or something. The second picture is as close as we wanted to get without chasing it off. It's such a cute little pet don't you think - even though it's not a pet. :)
Do you see the mustache on this cute little boy...His dad was eating an oreo the other day and decided Parker needed some. He licked it like crazy and loved it.

We have a picture like this one for every month. Some people take pictures next to stuffed animals to see how big the baby has grown, etc. However, we got this at our baby shower and use this because it has numbers and you can actually see the number difference!!!

At our house, he plays in the johnny jump up for about a half hour or so...at moms, she has a walker that she has had since Hunter (the first grandson) that we put him in so that he is standing. I get so tired of holding him standing up because he tries to jump out of your arms. He can get the walker to go forwards and backwards and in a circle and goes all over her living room.

He also rolls all over the place. It is hard keeping him on blankets. He sticks everything in his mouth and sucks on everything and so I want him to stay on the blanket instead of the carpet where everyone walks. At moms, she has hard floor, so keeping him on the blanket is important but definitely difficult. I will try to get videos of his rolling and "walking" and post them soon!

Totally Random

So Matt has been promising me a GACC cookie since Parker was born, but I didn't get it because I was still supposedly diabetic. I got release from the doctor in late February early March but no cookie. Well here it is May and still no luck. Things have been crazy busy, money has been tight for everyone...so no special desserts lately. Well Matt told me tonight that if I called and ordered it, he would go get it. I had no clue what to say and they wanted it to be funny so they told me to get a pig on it and put Survivor for the whole Swine Flu crap that's going on.

Parker wants to stand up all the time and I get tired of holding him. At home I put him in the johnny jump up for about 30 minutes or so every day so that I won't have to hold him. Yesterday we decided to go get the walker out of the garage at mom's so that I wouldn't have to hold him. He did really good. He can move forwards and backwards in it and spin around. It is hard to believe he is only 4 months (on Wednesday). He rolls over very well too from his back to his tummy and back to his back. He started that on Friday.

This is a new outfit that Awna D bought him. I took pictures of him because he looks so cute in a hat don't you think?!?

This year was my first mother's day and let me tell you, it was just another day in the Haynes Household. Nothing special at all. We went to church and the Primary sang to us, but that was about it. Saturday night Adam was doing a test and Kari was working so Matt and I went to the store to buy lunch for Sunday. Matt made the lasagna Sunday morning for us and had it cooking while we were at church. When we got home, he made green beans and I made the bread and the salad (all I did was dump the bag in the bowl haha) and then we ate. I unloaded and loaded the dishwasher before we ate and then again after we ate. Then I had an emotional breakdown. I won't go into details because it will probably just make me more frustrated. We "scrounged" for dinner and then later that evening we headed home. Adam was sweet and took care of Parker most of the day for me so that part was excellent!

So to me, mother's day wasn't that amazing, or special...Just another day for us.

We've got friends in High Places!!!

First of all you have to read the title in the tune of - Friends in Low Places by Garth Brooks!!

Second of all, Our Friends are Ryan and Maren Johnson.

Third of all, The the high place is Chuck E Cheese!!!!

I've been telling Maren and Ryan to bring us pizza and they never have been able to due to other things going on or stormy weather. So tonight we went and met them there finally and enjoyed every second of it!

Enjoy the pictures!!!This was Maren's third attempt to get Parker to look at the screen. This is the best we got and then we gave up. haha Thanks Maren for playing with him so that we could play games with Braydon. Nice Trade Maren don't you think???This is how Braydon and Adam spent about an hour while Maren and I sat and talked! Adam had a lot of fun.Parker's first encounter with Chuck E CheeseChuck E Cheese and the Whole Family!Braydon wanted Maren to let go so he cold hold Parker by himself haha. Braydon was so entertaining the whole evening.Maren took this herself and I was talking to Parker. I should have cropped myself out, but I didn't so you get to see me in all my hideousness! It's Parker! This Chuck E Cheese isn't real. It's just a mechanical one that dances, but Parker seeming to enjoy him moving around.Parker's prize of the night. He likes it. Thanks for picking it out for him Maren and Ryan!!!! Much nicer looking than a rodent!!! hahaWhen we got home, Adam touched the window and I think it looks like a shrimp. What do you think?

Thanks Maren and Ryan for a wonderful evening. We had fun playing with Braydon and eating and hanging out and eating and goofing off and eating!!!!!

Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Haynes!

For Easter, Parker's Haynes Grandparents gave us a gift card for his argyle bedding! Here are the pictures finally...(we got them in a long time ago, and washed them at mom's house and then kept forgetting to bring them home til the other day...I know I'm a slacker, but without the baby monitor, I don't want him to sleep in his own room!)close up of the back of the bumper pads - cool stripes ehclose up of the bed skirtclose up of the fitted sheet and its also the back of the blanketthe mobile that we haven't but together yet - its still sitting on the twin bed in Parker's room - we used a gift card from the Robison's to purchase this - thanks Debbie and Rodney!!!!

For Awna D

For those of you that don't know, Awna D is my mom. That's what all of her grandkids started calling her. Kari decided it was going to be Momma D and Hunter and the rest of them have changed it about 3 or 4 times. Meredith just calls her D, but the rest call her Awna D.

Other nicknames we have -
Dad is Geezer - that's right as in Old Geezer - Kari came up with this one too!
Kari is Aunt Squirt
Cristopher - Uncle Crick - but he wants to go by Uncle Scrooge or Uncle Geezer (he's a lot like dad)
Mom's Parents - Grammer (her mom) and Grumps (her dad - Adam and Matt decided if Grumps was a cartoon character, he would be the old man in this

Anyways...on with my post...Mom and Dad have bought Parker a few Monkeys since we are doing his nursery in that. We picked out monkey bedding (see this post) and then decided on the argyle bedding (see this post).

Mom went shopping with Grammer and found a light blue monkey because she said it would match his argyle bedding better. The brown ones still match though because of the brown trim and lines. He was playing with it this morning on my bed and I turned on the movie Twilight and went to go get a drink quick and when I came back, this is how he was laying...

That's right he was still awake (although I thought he was asleep) watching the beginning of Twilight!

Randomness

Here are fun pictures of our little boy. He is growing so fast! We love playing with him and cuddling with him!

Do you see this pretty ring...
It finally fits again after being pregnant and swollen! I didn't want to have it resized while I was pregnant to just have it resized again afterwards. I tried it on every few weeks and yesterday it finally fit.
