Parker's Birthday Party

Parker's Party was fun with all the family that came to spend this special time with us. We are very grateful for everyone that came and especially those that drove long distances to come!

I found a Pin the Tail on a Donkey Game for a dollar and thought it would be fun for the kids...It was a big hit and all the kids took turns playing the game!

Uncle Court, Aunt Janelle, Aunt Caryn and Uncle Justin gave him a swing. The only picture I got of it is when Aunt Caryn is carrying it in and she wouldn't like it I posted that one...

Gamma Jill and Gampa Gene gave him a monkey coloring book and colors! (They also put helium in all the balloons for me!!)

Parker's Birthday Wish List

Our little cousin got this for Christmas and Parker played with it yesterday and loved it! You push the button and the tools dance to the music - Handy Manny Tool Box

Kid's Beige with Chocolate Micro Deluxe Toy Box - his toys are in a rubbermade bucket and when i put the toys away and close the lid he can't get it back open and it's too small - I love this one!

Board Books - I leave the board books down low for him to read on his own because he cant rip the pages out - regular book I have to keep put up and only get down when an adult is reading to him because he tries to rip it pages out

sound books - he loves anything that makes noises and music

He doesn't have any movies and half the cartoons that come on tv aren't good - so disney movies or any kind of little kid movie.

I don't have kid music cds for when we are in the car for Parker to listen to - so maybe a kid cd.

Quirks

- I like a little salad with my dressing. Sometimes when I ask for extra dressing it still isn't enough.

- I get into organizational and cleaning mode in the evenings.

- I am not a fan of cheese on my hamburger.

- I hate reading books. I think the only books I have read straight through are the twilight series because I know I didn't read books straight through in high school or college.

- I love to cook, but everything I make, we end up with tons of leftovers and I'm not a fan of leftovers.

- I hate cooking for such a picky eater. It seems the menu around here is limited to about 5 things.

- I hate doing dishes and can't wait for the day that I have a dishwasher.

- I like trying all kinds of foods. As long as it doesn't look weird, I'll probably try it.

- I get tired of toys being spread out all over the house, but love that Parker can be content and play by himself so I can get work done.

- I hate putting on a bra - once it's on I don't mind it. (Weird I know - but if I am staying home all day it's normally not on unless males or non-family members show up - TMI?)

- I love hanging out with our friends and wish we could spend time with them every night.

- I love being around family but hate big crowds of people I don't know.

- I am really shy around people I don't know and it takes a while to for me to warm up to people.

- I could eat Mexican food everyday.

- I love the smell of fresh laundry - if I can't smell the detergent, it must not be clean.

- I love getting my hair done and having someone else wash and fix my hair. I wish my hair lady lived closer and that I could afford to pay her to do it every day.

- I hate giving back rubs and massages, but love getting them. (really selfish of me I know)

- I secretly miss the snow and good old days of living in Idaho.

- I love being in the know and want to know what's going on with everyone.

- I am very paranoid about hygiene. I remind Adam in the mornings to brush his teeth for my piece of mind. I know he won't forget, but it makes me feel better.

- I ask people when they come out of the bathroom if they have washed their hands.

- If I am drinking water from a cup it has to have ice, but if I'm drinking it from a bottle I prefer that it is room temperature.

- I don't like it at church when Parker walks around and anyone and everyone will touch him especially his hands because he sticks them in his mouth.

- I haven't had soda in a week and I think I'm going through withdraws.

- I am ready for another baby because I fear if Parker doesn't get a sibling soon, he will continue to be spoiled rotten.

- I think of Caryn's kids as mine own I guess because when she lived closer I was constantly spending time with her and her family.

- I love listening to Parker laugh - even if he is in trouble if he starts laughing, so do I.

- I take up most of the bed at night because I like stretching out and sleeping with one leg straight and the other bent forming sort of a p shape.

I didn't realize I hadn't posted videos of Parker from Christmas - I guess I didn't video any Christmas Day, but this is from Christmas Eve and us opening presents with Adam's Family. Parker had a lot of fun!

Parker's One!

Parker had a busy Birthday! We got up and headed to Evadale by 7:00 so I could get my hair done! Then we went and visited Grammer, Grumps and Kenna. Grumps made him some baby pancakes for his birthday! Thanks Grumps. Then we headed to Grammers Lunch Bunch at a Chinese Restaurant and Parker was so tired he hardly ate anything - he even turned down ice cream. Grammer was gracious and bought our lunch! Thanks Grammer!

Then we headed home and I put Parker down for a nap. When he woke up Uncle Matt was here to visit him and later Aunt Squirt showed up and Geezer and Awna D.


This is him tonight! Hard to believe he's a year old!
We ate Lasagna, Green Beans and bread for his birthday dinner! He loved it!
He got to help daddy play the guitar!
And played a lot in his room. He squats all the time when he is playing with toys on the ground. He will have great leg muscles!

I decided at like 6 o'clock tonight that I wanted Parker to blow out a candle for his birthday on his birthday (we are having a small family party for him on Saturday). So I ordered a GACC cookie and Uncle Matt, Aunt Squirt, Geezer and Awna D were here to sing with us for his birthday! (Sorry to those we didn't invite it was total last minute!)

I told GACC to put Happy First Birthday Parker and they decided to make blocks out of it. I still have half of it left!He didn't know what to think of the candle and fire!

Parker is Growning!

This was my Orange Cream Slush that freaked out when I wouldn't share or when I would take it away to get a sip of my own!
This is a quote Adam bought me for Christmas - and we finally got it hung! I got another one from Maren but can't figure out where to hang it. I'll figure it out one day!
He got this hard hat and tool belt for Christmas and I put it on him one day. He did not like having the hat on!
