Have you seen the Movie Dear John? Have you heard about it? Have you read the book?
Well I haven't read the book, but I finally watched the movie tonight. There were parts that I absolutely loved and there were parts that I hated and I wanted to jump through the screen and knock some sense into Savannah (the main girl) (I especially hated the ending). I don't want to give anything away for those of you who are wanting to see it and haven't yet. But I will tell you there are parts that will make you cry and parts that will make you laugh and then you will cry some more. I'm not usually a crier in movies. I teared up a little bit watching My Sister's Keeper and it was hard to fight back the tears. Tonight, There is no way to fight. They just continue to rush down my cheeks and hit the pillow.
I have had a long time to think tonight while watching the movie. Adam fell asleep almost immediately when his head hit the pillow. Which was fine, because I was watching a chick flick and he is tired from staying up late helping me with Parker and the house and getting up early to head to work everyday. I joke that his job is an easy job, but at times it isn't and it can be very frustrating for him. What would I do if Adam was gone for long periods of time? I would be lost without him. He is such a trooper. He gets up and goes to work. When he gets home he takes care of Parker so I can have me time and cook (haha yeah like I cook every night) and clean and blog and read other blogs. Adam is the one that bathes Parker every night. He takes him to bed. He does whatever I need/want him to without complaining (most of the time). He is so good to us and what would we every do without him. When he comes home, Parker gets excited and throws his arms up in the air to greet him. Life is hard at times and I get frustrated easily. I am glad that I married a man that puts up with me. Give me me time. Helps with Parker. Lets me buy whatever I want and go wherever I want. He's caring and laid back. Generous and Kind. Sweet and Loving. Funny and a Hard Worker. I love him and grateful for him. He's amazing and I am glad I have him in my life.
I am big on families and family time. I wish my family spent more time together. I see people on Facebook talking about how they are getting together with fam and it really make me jealous. I wish my family was like that. I am trying so hard to be a better person and to not fight with anyone. It has truly helped me have a better outlook and positive attitude. I can't wait until we all get together for my nephew's baptism next month. I am so proud of him and the choices he has made.
I don't know why I am so emotional tonight and how I got from critiquing Dear John to talking about my family, but I did. Please know that if I have ever offended you or hurt you in any way I am truly sorry. My goal (besides losing 1000 lbs) is to be a better person. Be nicer to people and maybe good things will come from it.
Until Next Time this is Good Night.

What are your Thoughts on Tattoos?
I'm curious to see what people think about tattoos.
Do you love them? Hate them? Are you indifferent?
Personally, I don't like them at all. I would never get one because 1. I hate needles absolutely hate them. and 2. I think they look tacky. Why would someone want to cover their body with pictures (albeit some are actually cool or pretty) and ink? Why would you go through something like that?
The prophet of our church, Gordon B Hinckley, said in 2001,
"I recently spoke to your mothers and your fathers. Among other things, I talked with them about tattoos. What creation is more magnificent than the human body? What a wondrous thing it is as the crowning work of the Almighty. Paul, in writing to the Corinthians, said: “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
“If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are” (1 Cor. 3:16–17).
Did you ever think that your body is holy? You are a child of God. Your body is His creation. Would you disfigure that creation with portrayals of people, animals, and words painted into your skin?
I promise you that the time will come, if you have tattoos, that you will regret your actions. They cannot be washed off. They are permanent. Only by an expensive and painful process can they be removed. If you are tattooed, then probably for the remainder of your life you will carry it with you. I believe the time will come when it will be an embarrassment to you. Avoid it. We, as your Brethren who love you, plead with you not to become so disrespectful of the body which the Lord has given you."
I feel that if the prophet has said to Avoid it and to not be disrespectful to my body, I definitely wouldn't get one.
With that being said...How do you feel about getting eyeliner tattooed on? It's like make-up right? It will save you and extra few seconds when putting on make-up. But should you do it? What are your thoughts?
You can read the whole talk from President Hinckley here.

Parker Dancing to Ringtones
I have a special ringtone for Adam on my phone so I know it's him and when Parker hears it say "I love you Mwah Mwah" etc., Parker starts blowing kisses, so I filmed him last night!!

Parker Loves Swimming
Last summer Adam's Parents got a pool and we went swimming this past Saturday! We didn't stay in too long because Parker started shivering, but it was fun and relaxing while it lasted!!
Grandma bought this life vest swim suit for Parker! Adam said he looked like a Turtle. Haha
Parker and Dad getting in the Pool.
Trying out the pool without the ring - he doesn't quite understand yet that he has to stand up straight, so we have to hold him still when he isn't in the ring.
He loved it though!
Isn't he cute!
Here's a short video of him splashing and Adam telling him he needed to kick! haha! Maybe we need to put him in swimming lessons!

Lamar Baseball Game
About a week or so I got an email inviting me and my family to the Lamar Cardinal Baseball Game last night for being a Lamar Alumni Member. Adam got the same email and I never really talked to him about it. I forwarded it to Matt and told them we should all go. I forgot all about it until yesterday at 3 or so when Adam messaged me asking about it. Since everything was free for Lamar Alumni and their families, we decided to check it out.
Parker was not happy about facing the sun.
So Adam and I traded places and he was a lot happier!
Doesn't my burger look good? It was a little burnt, but it still tasted pretty good. We all shared the link. It was so good! But then again everyone knows how much I love link/drink sales, etc! More on that to come one day haha!
We got free drink coozies, luggage tags, stickers, key chains, tickets to the ball game, big red gum, free food, free paper fans, and they were giving out free towels, but I missed out.
Parker got a Cardinal Tattoo!
The Lamar Cardinals played the SFA Lumberjacks and sadly we lost 9 to 3. We left during the 3rd inning because Parker had just about had enough of not being able to run around.
The pictures are a little blurry. I love how the clouds look in the first one haha!

Such an Innocent Face, Don't You Think??
Do you think this innocent face could...
and this??
Oh yes! He can! And He did!
Let me tell you this interesting story...
I was posting to my Cut Out Deals blog this morning and I saw something moving on the arm rest next to me. I looked and saw a huge lizard. So I quickly got up and put Parker over the gate so I could open the front door and shoo it out with a broom. I couldn't get it off the couch so I had the couch almost to the door before I got it knocked off finally and it went out the door. When I went to get Parker, he was in the bathroom tearing the toilet paper off the roll. He even brought some to the gate. Oh well! I didn't want him to run out the door while I was trying to get the lizard out the door! I'm silly and crazy I know haha. Just call me a dork!

Mother's Day
I have always wondered why we have 1 day to celebrate moms and to treat them nice. Shouldn't we be doing this everyday?
Parker wrote me a poem (with a little help from his dad) that goes like this...
Translation:
By: Parker
I swear that I do
even when I'm bad
Or make mean faces at you
Dear Mommy I Need You
when things scare me at night
I’m ever so grateful
that you're in my life
