4 Month Doctor Visit

Parker had his 4 month visit today (well 4 months and 2 weeks). The doctor said everything looks good.

Here are his stats:

2 weeks
height - 21.75 in
weight - 9 lbs 10 oz
head - 37 cm

2 months (and two weeks)
height - 24.5 in
weight - 13 lbs 2 oz
head - 40 cm

4 months (and two weeks)
height - 26 in
weight - 16 lbs 13 oz
head - 43 cm

Fun facts about Parker:
-He drools a lot (but not teething quite yet)
-He sucks, slobbers, licks and chews on anything and everything
-He rolls all over the place
-He goes all over the place at Mom and Dad's in the Walker
-He attempts to leap out of peoples arms at the sight of ice cream (you let the kid try it one time-yes we know he is still kinda young, but whatev)
-He sleeps 6 hours every night, wakes up for a bottle, and then sleeps another 4-5 hours
-He is wearing size 3 shoe for thickness (not for length-the shoes are too long on him)
-He is wearing size 9 month onesies
-He is wearing size 6 month shorts and pants
-He is still on the Enfamil Gentlease-which has seemed to stay down better-he doesn't spit up as much
-He has his Mom, Dad, Awna D, Grandpa Haynes, Grandma Haynes, and lots of other people wrapped around his lil finger
-At times he will crack up laughing in his sleep, other times he whimpers and cries
-He smiles when I look at him and smile
-He laughs out loud really well
-He can sit up if he wants to, but most of the time leans forward to eat his feet
-He loves when Dad (Adam) plays with him-he cracks up and gets a big smile

Parker is so sweet and fun! We are so happy that he has joined our family! We have truly been blessed.

He did well at the doctor-he didn't like the lights in his eyes or the needle going in his thighs, but he only cried a minute and then stopped. The billing lady kind of annoyed me, but I'll save that story for another day! He goes back for his 6 month check up on August 11 (which is technically 2 days before he is 7 months-one of the many reasons I was annoyed with the billing lady-but I'll once again save that for another day).

Sad Day

So I kind of hate to see summer come...

-The heat
-The humidity
-The sweating
-The electric bill going up for running AC and Fans constantly
-The lack of a pool to swim in
-The lack of a decent swim suit that makes me look skinny
-The lack of being skinny
-The lack of a pool to swim in
-The car being steaming hot when we get in it
-Did I mention the lack of a pool to swim in???

And last but not least...

The ending of all these great shows that we have been addicted to all season....
That would be CSI: Las Vegas...The original one. I have seen the other two, but my favorite is this one. I hated to see Warrick go and Grissom go a season or two back, but I still Love it!
I am very disappointed with the results of this one. Helen won and looked so sick. She sent her own daughter home. What kind of mom is that? All the other parents wanted their children to stay because being on the ranch was the best thing for them. I really wanted Mike to win. He was so good. After he would finish a challenge, he would go back and help his dad finish. I loved that. Such a good son!

So Hell's Kitchen is absolutely amazing. I hate that he curses so much and for half the show they are bleeping it out. I was happy with the two that it was down to in the end. I didn't care which one won because they were both so good.

I wasn't happy with the end results of this one either. The team that won was a brother and sister pair. They spent a lot of time in China on the race and they spoke Mandarin. I think that was a total disadvantage to the other teammates. I mean one time in China was okay, but it seemed like they were there a lot. One of the challenges was to listen to people order food in Mandarin and repeat the order to the chef. Total disadvantage on that one don't you think?!? I mean they were mostly nice to people etc, however, it isn't totally fair to the other teams.

This was a good one to watch as well. It was down to Joan Rivers and a Poker Champion. Adam liked the Poker Champion, I didn't really have a preference. I just liked watching how they dealt with the challenges etc. I am very pleased with the results of American Idol. It would have been nice for Michael Sarver to win since he is from Jasper, Texas (about an hour from my home). Kari, Matt and I spent many Tuesday nights on two phones voting for him. Adam became the judges favorite and you could tell. I, however, was not a fan of Adam. He can sing. I just don't particularly like his voice. Yay for Kris Allen!

Pictures

While Adam we gone at his Adfed Competition, we went and stayed with my sister in Lufkin, although I was sick most of the time, we had a lot of fun hanging out. We went to the ball park with Hunter and everyone else for practice and they have a park with baby swings. I put Parker in one to see how he would do and he sat up in it pretty well.
I found this one on my phone and I love his face so I wanted to share it.

The next three are from yesterday of a huge rainbow that we saw at the Allred's. However, it was almost gone by the time I got my phone out to take a picture.

These next two are for Uncle Matt. He loves Ketchup. It has to be Heinz though. This bottle was huge (not sure what brand it was) but I wanted to take a picture to show Matt.

Then we put it next to Parker to get a quick shot to see how big it really was. Parker tried to eat it.

At Walmart yesterday, I convinced Adam to let me get Parker these cute shoes. He liked the brown and blue ones better but they didn't have them in his size. So Adam let me get the blue and lime green ones. They look almost like water shoes to me. I took the pictures with my phone so they are kind of dark, but I'll post better ones soon.

We go to the doctor tomorrow for his 4 month check up (yes almost two weeks later...I need to see if they can do it closer to time for his next appointment). I'll post his stats tomorrow!

Fun Filled Weekend

Seems like every time Justin comes, there is yard work to do...so Caryn, Justin, and Dad were outside working before I got to moms this morning and Mom and Kari were making breakfast. Then they both went out to help. Matt got home from an Eagle Project and helped and Adam finally showed up (he was still in bed when I left) and helped as well. They cut down so many bushes and little trees that Mom and Dad now have a huge pile in the front of their house awaiting the trash guys to come pick it all up!

This pile looks pretty big huh? This is how big it is...Do you see the two children in the above picture??? How about in the next one?

Tucker posing with the crawfish before Justin cooked em!

Caryn's kids helped take care of Parker while the Adults worked. I pulled one load of branches to the street then I quit and became the photog! Can we say Lazy...Yes we can! Sorry Fam!

Justin and Matt were the first ones to dig into the crawfish! Looks good huh!

Kari took this of Caryn...This proves that the food was finger lickin good!

Maren brought a pool for the kids to play in...they had a lot of fun!

Parker's new swimsuit! Isn't it cute? Adam wouldn't let me get the spf shirt to go with it. Sad Day. It has a monkey on it in the brown....Look closely!

Parker can't sit up for very long by himself so we put the bumbo in the pool for him to sit in. Adam had to hold it down because it was floating!

Yes even I ended up in the pool...Parker wanted out of the bumbo, but we wanted to see if he would sit in the pool...he seemed to like it...I didn't have time to change clothes or I probably would have...Those are blue jean capris I have on in the picture...not fun.

I'll post videos later...I'm on Adam's Mac and not my computer so I don't know how to edit the videos etc.

*Make sure you click older posts to see more photos of little Parker!

Precious

This is how Parker falls asleep now when he can't find his pacifier and is exhausted.

Walker

Parker is getting so big and heavy and I posted pictures a while back with him sitting in it, but here is a short video of him moving it around. He never moves all over the place while I'm videoing. Go Figure. He actually made it in the kitchen too the other night. We didn't think he would make it over the transition piece on the floor, but when he realized he was stuck, he reared back and pushed himself forward to make it over it. Crazy that a four month old can do that huh!

Pictures

Maren invited us to go eat with her and Braydon last night. We had a blast and love the invites. Here are a few pictures from the evening!

Maren put her hat on him! He is cute in anything dontcha think??? :)

Parker loves him some CEC!

Braydon used some of his tickets to get Parker a wrist band! Amazingly enough Parker never chewed on it. He chews on everything, but left it alone all evening long. We didn't take it off of him until we were getting him ready for bed.

Pictures

Parker can hold himself up really well now...he'll be crawling before we know it.

I apologize for our precious little baby only having a diaper on. It rarely happens. He usually has on a white onesie and a decorative shirt or onesie on top of that and shorts or pants. However this night he had just leaked poop up his back and I changed him and cleaned him up and Adam ran him to the bath tub and bathed him for me.

Formula

Parker has been spitting up after almost every bottle we give him. Some feedings it is very little, others it is a lot. We have to keep tons of spare bibs in the diaper bag because we are constantly switching them out.
He has managed to spit up on
Kari,
Matt,
Awna D (my mom),
Adam,
Grandpa Haynes (Adam's Dad),
Grammer (my mom's mom),
Janelle,
Shawna,
his Second String Grandpa (Matt's Dad),
Caryn,
Me
and probably tons of other people.
I figured it was just normal ya know. However, it has been getting worse and worse and he's had a few tummy aches this weekend. I called the doctor and he said to try switching our sweet little Parker from Enfamil Lipil with Iron to

Enfamil Gentlease Lipil. Hopefully it works because I'm tired of our sweet baby spitting up all the time. If it hasn't helped within 5 - 7 days, we are supposed to call the doctor back, however, Parker goes on Wednesday the 27th for his 4 months check up so we will be able to give the doctor the results of switching then.

Hello Friends

So I know you have missed hearing from me...I've been busy and lazy. We are still here. Parker is growing so much. He's a little over 4 months old. We go to the doctor next week for his 4 month appointment. I'll post his latest stats then. Until then...here are some random pictures...

Do you see that brown thing just below and to the right of the right tree? This is in the lot next to mom's house. The brown thing happens to be a little rabbit that lives in their lot or bushes or something. The second picture is as close as we wanted to get without chasing it off. It's such a cute little pet don't you think - even though it's not a pet. :)
Do you see the mustache on this cute little boy...His dad was eating an oreo the other day and decided Parker needed some. He licked it like crazy and loved it.

We have a picture like this one for every month. Some people take pictures next to stuffed animals to see how big the baby has grown, etc. However, we got this at our baby shower and use this because it has numbers and you can actually see the number difference!!!

At our house, he plays in the johnny jump up for about a half hour or so...at moms, she has a walker that she has had since Hunter (the first grandson) that we put him in so that he is standing. I get so tired of holding him standing up because he tries to jump out of your arms. He can get the walker to go forwards and backwards and in a circle and goes all over her living room.

He also rolls all over the place. It is hard keeping him on blankets. He sticks everything in his mouth and sucks on everything and so I want him to stay on the blanket instead of the carpet where everyone walks. At moms, she has hard floor, so keeping him on the blanket is important but definitely difficult. I will try to get videos of his rolling and "walking" and post them soon!
