We got Parker a boppy so that he could have tummy time. He does great holding his head up except when he is on his tummy. So we wanted something to prop his head up...and I don't think he likes it too much...What do you think? Leave a Comment and Let us know
We were both with him the whole time during the videoing and I know he was a little close to the end of the bed at one point, but don't you worry. We were there to catch him if he decided to learn to roll over or if he fell. He didn't stay there long!

Update
I wanted to do my own background because I wanted to be able to say that I did it. Well after a lot of frustration, I did about half of it or so...Adam helped me a lot since I have never done it before and never used photoshop before. I am not totally finished with it yet, but I'm almost there. Here are some fun pictures and a video of Parker. Enjoy!
This is him chillin in his Bumbo so I could attempt to work on my background. Notice he is in the middle of my bed so he won't fall off and I never left him for a second. I wouldn't want him to get hurt!
He likes his tub time...Well most of the time. He looks kinda scared in this picture. But he is precious!
I love how he is just chillin and relaxing after his nice warm bath. He is such a good baby.
Parker is sporting his St Patrick's Day Shirt that Aunt Caryn got him...
And here he is wishing Aunt Caryn were here to celebrate with him. :( Poor Thing
This is him in his Future Rock Star Onesie Aunt Andrea Got him. Can you tell his Dad's side of the family is into music???
Lately he has wanted something in his mouth at all times...Could be a bottle, His Pacifier, His finger, Your finger, but usually it is his fist. Precious huh.
He sits up in his bumbo pretty good. Unfortuantely he wasn't willing to smile to much for the video. Sad day.

Nothing Much to Say
I haven't posted in almost a week. Craziness. There just hasn't been too much going on in lil Parker's life that is worth blogging about I suppose. He's been eating and sleeping and that's about it. I do have pictures with him in his St. Patrick's Day shirt to post for Aunt Caryn, but my camera is in the other room and Parker is laying in my lap. So you'll just have to wait to see his cuteness. PS I need more formula...anyone wanna go get me some so I don't have to get him out quite yet?

Two Months Old
Parker is two months old today. It is hard to believe that it was already two months ago that we were blessed with him. He is a joy to us every day. He is quite the popular fellow in our family. As long as he is happy and doesn't need to be fed or changed, Aunt Squirt and Uncle Matt are always willing to play with him and hold him. He gets mad sometimes when Aunt Squirt leaves the room. (Aunt Kari goes by Aunt Squirt - sorry if I have never explained it...Kari had many nicknames growing up and squirt was one of them so all the nieces and nephews have called her Aunt Squirt) Mom was holding him the other night and Aunt Squirt left the room and he started to cry. She walked back into the room and took him from Mom and he was a happy camper! They are buds I think. When they get home from wherever they have been, they tell everyone high and then go up to Parker wherever he is to tell him Hi and give him hugs and kisses or tickle his feet. Here are some of the things that Parker can do...
1) He can stand up (well with us holding him of course - his legs have been strong for a while now)
Daddy was going to let go so I could get a picture of him standing without someone holding him. The picture above is the one I ended up with :)
2) Parker can smile. He loves for us to talk to him and gets big smiles on his face. He has been smiling pretty much since the beginning and everyone said it was just gas, but I think he just really likes to smile! He smiles all the time when we talk to him. He thrives for attention. He loves to be talked to and he'll even coo back at you.
3) He weighs around 12.5 lbs
4) He is about 24 inches long or so. He was born at 20 1/2 so he's growing. Some of his 0-3 month clothes are getting to small for him because he has such a long torso. He isn't really a chunky baby at all. His legs are pretty skinny. He is a lot like his dad.
5) Parker can eat as little as 2 ounces to as much as 8 ounces in an hour. Depends on his mood and if he is in a "growth spurt" or at least that's what I call it.
6) He usually goes to sleep anywhere from 10:30 to 12:00 and won't wake up in the morning until between 6:00 and 8:30.
7) He goes to sleep quick in the car as long as he has been changed and fed.
8) It is cute watching him look over my shoulder or at the ceiling at what looks to be nothing, but I know it's something because he will smile at whatever/whoever it is.
9) Although he doesn't bust out laughing, when we talk to him and give him attention, he'll smile and coo for a few seconds at a time and I know it's him laughing. He is so cute.
10) When he is going to sleep, he wants his face up close to your body. So I turn him towards me and then turn his head up so his nose and mouth isn't buried and put the paci in his mouth and rock him a little bit and pat his butt and he'll go right to sleep. He won't go to sleep like that for everyone.
11) He knows his Momma. He is with me all the time. A lot during the day it's just me and him so when we go to my mom's or when Adam's holding him, if he gets really fussy for some reason, I take him and usually he calms down almost immediately. I think it kind of bothers Adam sometimes, but hey, the kid was in my tummy for 9 months and I'm the one he sees and plays with all day.
In the first video, Daddy was trying to get him to smile for me for a picture, I decided to switch it to camera mode and video it. It's pretty cute if I do say so myself. The two girls Adam is talking about in the video are Jan and Jeff's babies. We are excited they are going to be staying with mom until they are able to go back to Arizona.
The second video is of him cooing/talking to us!

Dinner and a TV Star
Last night I wanted to cook dinner and bake something. I've been in the mood for a while and just haven't done it so last night I made gumbo (didn't take a picture for proof sorry) and chocolate chip cookies for dessert (my roommates used to get treated to this all the time...I told them I wanted to open a restaurant and serve gumbo and chocolate chip cookies...they laughed and it because the big joke in our apartment)
I was in the mood again today and asked my older sister, Caryn, for a good recipe. So she gave me a recipe for Cavatini. It turned out amazing if I do say so myself. Adam and Matt each ate 2 or 3 helpings and Kari and Mom both said they liked it. Yay! I made green beans to go with it and bread and made oatmeal scotchies (oatmeal cookies with butterscotch chips) for dessert!
Here is where Parker was while I was baking and cooking...Hanging out with Aunt Squirt and Uncle Matt!!
Kari's news director, Angel San Juan has a birthday on Friday. Friday is also Parker's 2 month birthday. It is crazy to think that he is eight weeks old today and that Friday is is two month birthday. We wanted them to take a picture together so that they could post it on the morning show on the news to tell them Happy Birthday! So make sure you watch for Parker (our lil tv star) on Channel 4 (on Time Warner it's channel 2 - it's the fox channel).

Meredith Singing
So I am a pretty faithful watcher of the Ellen DeGeneres Show. She is hilarious and cracks me up. Right now she is doing a bathroom concert series and you can submit videos of you singing in the bathroom. Janelle has been working with Meredith and teaching her the ABC's and Meredith also sings The Little Mermaid song. She is precious. Janelle finally got her to do it for the camera and it was while she was in the bathroom so we thought it would be fun to send it to Ellen. We aren't really sure if it made it to Ellen or not. After I submitted it, I got a weird page and so did Adam when he tried for me. So who knows. We may see her on Ellen, We may not, but Meredith is precious non the less!!

Happy Birthday and Parker
Channel 4 does birthdays in the morning and since Kari is the weekend producer, she wanted to submit a few in. Janelle doesn't live here so she didn't get to see her name on tv so here it is. Happy Birthday Janelle!!!!
My husband gave me my birthday and anniversary (we will be married a year on Sunday, March 8) last night because he had to work today and then had a meeting from 5-9 tonight. I needed a new driver seat and passanger seat cover and a steering wheel cover because my other ones were getting so nasty. I like to have them so that if anything spills, it doesn't get on the actual seat. That way my seats stay clean. Adam is a big fan of argyle and I have become a fan of it too. Isn't it cute? The steering wheel cover is like memory foam or something. It's soft and nice.
When Parker woke up this morning and I fed him, I laid him down on a pillow next to me so I could check my email and do other things on the computer. This is how he is most comfortable sleeping.
He will be 8 weeks old on Tuesday. He is getting so big and strong. He holds his head up well as you could tell from his bumbo pictures in previous blogs and as you can tell from the below pictures, he can straighten his legs and stand up. Sometimes he will only do it a few seconds, but sometimes he will do it for about a minutes or so. In the pictures I'm just supporting his upper body, he is doing the standing all on his own. He is so cute. I had just taken him out of the bath and was getting him dressed and picked him up talking to him and he decided he was in the mood to stand up!

So Far, So Good
So far it has been a pretty decent birthday. Probably one of the better ones I've had. Growing up, I didn't get to have many parties because my dad is an accountant and it's tax season and there never really was time. We would always have family things, but never anything with friends. The one party I remember having with friends was a roller skating party and it was a joint party with my older brother because his birthday is the week after mine. I hated it because I hated to roller skate. No offense to you Mom and Dad, but my birthday's were never anything spectacular (or at least at that moment in my life they weren't. As a little kid you always want a big bash with all your friends etc.)
This year I woke up to a beautiful baby sleeping in my arms and a husband kissing me goodbye on his way to work. The day I don't think can start any better. Then while I am getting ready for the day, the doctor (endocrinologist) called with my test results from last week. Good thing they were supposed to call on Monday. I would have called them, but you know what I really didn't feel like it because I haven't been too impressed with them and their office. I love my pedi, family doctor and my ob/gyn. I just hate the endocrinologist. Here are the results:You should be able to click on it to enlarge it even more. My wonderful husband made this for me to make it easy to see/read. As you can see, my meter is reading me higher than they were. So either a. they mixed my blood up with someone elses or b. my meters suck and these really are my numbers. At the hour mark you can see how off my numbers were. It is pretty crazy that at one point it measured 293 and they got 171. So this whole time have my numbers been off? Have they upped my insulin for nothing, did I have to take pills for nothing? What is the deal. I am in fact NOT diabetic. Big Yay for me. I could be one day with my dad having it, his mom and my mom's dad having it. It is definately in the genes, but for now, I don't have it. YAY!! If you ever become diabetic or are, don't use either of these meters...I thought they were amazing because they didn't use too much blood at all to test, however, do you see how off my numbers were. Every time she took blood, I was checking myself. It is crazy how off the numbers are don't you think? So thats good news for my birthday. Happy Birthday to me!
Then we had our second playdate today. Maren, Katelin, Allison, Becky, Teresa and I all went to the park with our little ones. We had lots of fun. Becky brought cupcakes. What a neat treat. Thanks for a fun time!! (and thanks for the cupcakes!!)

Pictures, Pictures and More Pictures (and a video!)
Kari is the weekend producer at Fox 4. They want people to send in pictures for people's birthdays and anniversaries and they will announce it on the air during their morning show and show the pictures. Since my birthday is tomorrow Kari wanted to send a picture in. This is the one Adam emailed her to send in. I wish I looked this hot all the time. This is from my Bridal Shower last February!
Parker and I went to spend the night with Caryn and her family last night. They got a new basset hound on Sunday and that's the kind of puppy Adam eventually wants so he said I had to get pictures of Parker with the puppy. Hunter named him Jake. He named the last dog they had Jake too. I guess he thinks that every dogs name is Jake. Parker wasn't real interested and wasn't too sure how to act.He didn't even look at Jake at first.
He wasn't too sure how to react I suppose. He is just chillin.
At first Jake was licking Parker's toes. Then he decided that his toes were a chew toy. Puppies chew on everything and thought that Parker's toes would be perfect. We ended that real quick.
Isn't he cute?!?
This is a video of Taylor singing in the car. Kari said the last video I posted I should have edited and I should know how because I took and editing class my last semester of school, but I don't have that program. Anyone know and easy way for me to edit my videos before I post them?
