Pacifier or Finger?

Sometimes Parker prefers his pacifier...Other times his pacifier isn't good enough for him and he prefers his thumb. However, last night apparently his thumb wasn't good enough either because he preferred his index finger...Isn't he cute...
Which did you prefer growing up? Sucking on your fingers or a pacifier? Which did/do your kids prefer?

That is so stinkin' cute! Brighton never sucked on his thumb or fingers but he LOVED his pacifier. It was hard to wean him from it. Seth likes his pacifier too, but he's always trying to put his whole fist in his mouth. He gags himself several times a day trying to put ALL of his fingers in his mouth. Hasn't quite figured out how to limit it to one or two. I have no idea what I preferred as a baby. Once again, those pictures of Parker are adorable. Is his hair a little reddish?

Meredith didn't really suck on her thumb/fingers. She took a pacifier until about 4 months old. I actually saw the moment when she pulled the pacifier out of her mouth...looked at it...tried to chew on the plastic for a few seconds...and then tossed it away. She would never take a pacifier after that. I think that's why she has always been such a chatter box...because she didn't have anything else to do with her mouth! LOL! My mom told me that when I was a baby, the only way I'd take my pacifier was if she put a little dab of honey on it. Maybe I should have tried that with Meredith. Oh well, too late now!

I didn't use either...Hannah hated the paci but sucks her three fingers. I am determined to make this baby use a paci though hahahaha...maybe I will use Janelle's mom's honey idea.

My kids liked their soothers (Canadian ok) until they were about 6 months old then spit them out and never wanted them again. It was nice because we didn't have trouble breaking them of it.

I got pretty lucky. Adalie didn't want either. She never took a pacifier and sucked on her thumb for about a week. I love it now because I never had to break her of either.
