Parker's cousins have gotten him hooked on tic tacs - He found half a container and started eating them. A few minutes later he was playing with an empty tic tac container and I asked him where the tic tacs went - he responded...
"In my mouth."
He ate them all - within minutes! He's just like his McCabe cousins!

Have you washed Crayons before?
We Have...And I'm not happy about it.
I started a load of laundry Saturday Night because I needed clean spit rags for Riglee. When I started putting the load in the drier, I saw yellowish paper in the bottom of the washer and couldn't figure out what it was. Then I found half a green crayon, half an orange crayon and then both halves. We checked the clothes and shook them before putting the load in the dryer. When I went to take the load out of the drier Sunday Morning, I found a brown crayon in there and there was orange crayon on about 10 pieces of clothes (including the white tank top for me that I had thrown in there to wear to church under my dress). There was an orange ring in the dryer.
I had already showered luckily - but spent a good bit of the rest of my morning scrubbing the drier with a magic eraser. It faded a lot - I can still see a faint orange streak here and there - I started drying my hair at 8:40 and church starts at 9! We made it just in time to take the sacrament.
I am still trying to get the crayon out of the clothes though. I washed them this morning with tide with bleach just to see if I would get lucky and it would come out...it didn't.
Then I used the Clorox 2 stick on all of the spots and washed them again - still not out.
I made Adam google how to get crayon out of clothes - it said to use WD-40...Really?!?! Yep that's what it says...
So Adam sprayed the clothes and scrubbed and we washed again. There are still some marks but at least they are faint.
I hope to never wash crayon again!
Thanks Parker for sticking them in your pocket and not taking them out!!

Parker Does Laundry
Saturday Morning, Adam and I had stayed in bed and my sweet mom was getting Parker breakfast. Fruit Loops and Milk -
He suddenly comes running in with only a diaper on and I asked him where his clothes were. He said, "they're yucky - Milk got on them." So I told him to go get dressed.
A little while later he was in the bathroom "washing his hands" and when I went in to check on him, he had the hand towel in the sink and it was soaked. I grabbed the wet towel up and gathered all the dirty towels and went to put them in the washer, but something was already in there.
I began taking dry kitchen chair seat cushions out of the washer and noticed the pajamas Parker had on in there.
I yelled for him to come here and asked why 4 cushions and his pajamas were in the washer and he said, "they were yucky - I had to clean them."
I'm just glad he can't start the washer.

Bless You
Our room is right next to Parker's - This evening after Adam put him in bed, I sneezed pretty loud and Parker ran in here and said, "Bless You Mommy" and went back to bed!
Oh how I love how sweet that kid is - even though he was told not to get out of bed!

Sweet Dreams
Either Riglee was so tired from not sleeping good the night before or the Rice Cereal worked...
She slept until 5:00 and I think she would have slept longer if Parker hadn't woken up crying!
I fed her and put her back down around 5:30 or so and she didn't wake back up until 10:30!!
Adam let Parker lay with us at 5:00 and I told him when I got out of the bathroom and started feeding Riglee that he needed to carry him back to his own bed. Then Parker joined us again at 6:45...at that point Adam was about to have to get up to get ready for work so I just left him in our bed and we all slept until 10!! :)
I am one happy mom!

Parker and Mickey Mouse
So Parker loves Mickey Mouse. He was given two stuffed ones for Christmas and he loves them. Tonight when Adam was reading to him, Parker started looking around the room and sniffing. He then said, "Mickey did you poop?" Then he checked Mickey's Pants for Poop...The End.

Bed Time
So bed time doesn't go to well around our home. You see we stay up late chatting, catching up on our shows that we have recorded etc. Needless to say, we don't start getting Parker ready for bed until 10 pm at the earliest! We need to have him on a routine and going to bed at a decent time but we don't.
We used to be able to walk him to bed and he would stay in there and go to sleep. He was so good about going to bed and I thought - wow that was pretty easy!
Now that Riglee is here, they are sharing a room, which is totally fine for right now. However, Riglee decides to sleep all day and ends up being wide awake from about 9 or 10 until 12 or 1. This doesn't make it any easier getting Parker to go to bed.
You see he thinks that if Riglee is going to hang out with Mom and Dad, he can too. We put him in bed and he comes out a thousand times.
My arm hurts.
My finger hurts.
My eyes hurt.
My leg hurts.
I want medicine.
Riglee needs to be in bed.
The list goes on and on.
Tonight - one of the thousands of times he came out of his room, he laid on the couch and when I told him to go to bed, he closed his eyes and pretended to be asleep. He is so funny.
How do you get your kid to stay in bed???

Tough Evening, Good Night, All Night
Last night was a little rough getting Parker to go to bed. Adam read him a story and he kept making excuses to get out of bed. His leg hurt, his teeth hurt, he needed to tell me good night, he needed to tell Awna D good night, he needed a drink, the list goes on and on. Finally at 11:30, I decided enough was enough and that I would give Adam a break and I would take a turn with him. Well - when I go in there, it isn't good news for Parker. I put him in bed, covered him, kissed his forehead and said good night and then put a child lock on his door so he couldn't come out. I hated to do it, but Adam had been trying for an hour to get him in bed. He stood by his door crying, trying to get out for about 5 minutes, and then there was silence. I waited a few more minutes before I went and checked on him and he was in bed asleep. He has got to start going to bed at a decent time and we have to get him to go to bed without putting up so much of a fight.
Perhaps it's because Riglee sleeps in our room and he feels left out. When Riglee gets on a better sleep schedule, she will be sleeping in his room, but until then, I'm not sure what to do!
Riglee did sleep from midnight until seven this morning! It was definitely needed. Poor Adam - he's exhausted from the late nights with Parker, middle of the night feedings with Riglee (yes I get up and feed her, but Adam wakes up), and early mornings for work.

Redecorating...
We have been staying with my parents since Riglee was born for them to help us out with the kids. We haven't had a good nights rest in a long time thanks to not only Riglee waking up for feedings, but Parker going to bed late. I'm not sure what it is but at first here, he would lay in bed, Adam would read him a book and he would stay there and go to sleep. Now he is up until at least 11 - fighting us, not wanting to go to sleep. We can tell he's tired. It has become really hard and poor Adam, Parker wants him and not me. Hopefully we can get him to go to sleep at a decent hour tonight.
Anyways - on to the main reason for my post...
This cute little boy decided that Awna D's house needed a little redecorating...
He pushed the door and made the stopper go straight through the door frame! Guess the stopper isn't strong enough for a 2 year old! haha
Now Hunter isn't the only one that has poked a hole in their wall!

2 Year Check Up
Parker had his two year check up this afternoon. Doctor said he is growing fine, just skinny! He is now 28 lbs and I think 34 1/2 inches tall (though I could be remembering wrong). He had to have routine lab work done today to check for anemia etc. While we were sitting outside waiting for our turn to get his lab work done, there was a little girl in there getting hers done. She was screaming, crying for her dad (that wasn't there) and even coughed from crying so much. Parker was sitting with me out in the foyer and every time she yelled for her dad, Parker copied her. When she coughed he fake coughed. While she was crying, he pretended to cry. It was so funny, and it was hard to tell him that it wasn't nice while I was laughing at him!
He really is related to his Aunt Kari (Aunt Kia - if you ask Parker)!

Terrible Twos
It seems my cute little boy has hit the age when he is going to test me and try my patience.
He hits, throws anything when he is mad or in trouble, spits, and throws tantrums when he doesn't get his way. It can be a little stressful at times. The key is to be patient and stick to the rules and not bend. He knows what's allowed and what isn't.
It hasn't helped that his playmate (Adam) has been off of work for two weeks. And that he has had tons of cousins to play with over the holidays and now its going to just be him again.
It's going to be hard getting him back on his schedule of napping every day for me, but hopefully he will. My goal is to get him in bed earlier too - no more late nights - he needs to be in bed no later than 9. That's late enough for a little kid - everyone else I know puts their kids to bed between 7 and 8:30. We'll see how it goes.
We also are getting anxious for the birth of our little girl. The c-section date is set and I couldn't be more excited.
I am so tired of counting carbs, checking my sugar, only eating certain things, watching everyone else enjoy my favorites. Not sure how they will monitor me in the hospital and when the baby comes, but I am ready to have a shake, a piece of cake, some candy, eat as much bread as I want, actually eat a bowl of cereal and not just 3/4 of a cup (that isn't much when you really measure it out).

All Parker wants for Christmas...
Parker was being silly the other day and told us that he wanted a puppy.
Adam responded by saying, "you are getting a sister soon and that's like a puppy."
What have I gotten myself into with these two boys???

Geezer's Bed
We went to my parent's house last night to hang out and help mom get a few things done and right before we left, we had gone into their room to get something and Parker climbed up on their bed, laid down on Geezer's pillow and got under the covers. It was so funny and too cute!

Gingerbread House 2010
We decorated a gingerbread house last week when we were with Caryn and her kids...
When I say we, I really mean me...
Watch Parker in the pictures....
Going...
Going....
Going....
Almost....
Gone...
He was so tired that he grabbed Hunter's arm and used it for a pillow and fell asleep. It was so funny! Poor kid!

Laundry Helper
Usually when I start a load of laundry I tell Parker to go get his dirty clothes out of his room and he will go get them and put them in the washer. Well on Thursday of last week, he heard the washer start and while I was in our room gathering up what I wanted to put in the washer, Parker was already gathering up his clothes and tossing them in the washer. I didn't even tell him to go get his clothes - haha he's so silly sometimes!
I'm glad that I was going to tell him to get his dirty clothes for that particular load anyways.

Nap Time
Parker was up so early this morning (well early for us haha - 7:30ish) so I put him down for a nap around 12:30 or so. He was in his room crying for his daddy. I felt bad because he's teething again and as had a runny nose all day so I went in his room and got him and he sat on the couch for a few minutes and then went to his room to play. It got really quiet back there and I went and checked in the camera and he was in his bed asleep.
Yep that's right. Parker shut his door and got in bed and put himself down for a nap. Poor kid hasn't felt good all day. Hopefully the rest of his teeth come in soon so we will be past this!! He has all a molar in each corner of his mouth and he's cutting the teeth in between those and his front teeth.

Prayers
Adam was helping Parker pray tonight and part of it went a little something like this -
Adam: "Thank You"
Parker: "Thank You"
A: "For Mommy and Daddy"
P: "Mommy, Daddy"
A: "Poppa and Grandma"
P: "Poppa, Mam-maw"
A: "Awna D and Geezer"
P: "D, Zer"
A: "and Everyone else"
P: "Tay-Tay"
It was too cute - he loves his cousin Tay Tay...
He has been asking to color with her all day!

It's Time...
... to Potty Train.
Parker is such a great little boy. Every morning when he wakes up, he stays in his bed until I go in and get him. He will sometimes get out of bed to get a toy, but he gets right back in bed until we go in his room.
Today when I went in there i was greeted by a little boy without a diaper on and his shorts on upside down with both legs in one leg hole and out of the waist...
I'm not really looking forward to the battle of potty training, but I know it's time and we need to get it done before this baby arrives (which will be in about 20 weeks - doesn't sound like a long time does it??)
Hopefully we are very successful!
I also have tons of pictures on my camera that I need to upload to blog about including the First Lamar Football game that we went to! Parker was on the jumbo-tron and I think I have the video of it! I'll try to post that too! Stay tuned!!

Never Say Never
So I don't think I will ever say never again...
On July 24th, Parker Pooped in the TUB! Not fun! But at least it was his dad bathing him and not me! :)
Tonight - He threw the dvd remote in the toilet - Luckily I was standing right there and could grab it out quick. I hope it isn't ruined! We took out the batteries and are letting it dry.
Not really looking forward to other firsts like these!
